Azelaic Acid
Azelaic acid is a natural substance produced by a yeast normally present in the skin's flora; it is also found in nature in wheat, rye, and barley.
It is among the most commonly used substances in acne treatments due to its bactericidal and bacteriostatic action against microorganisms found on the superficial layers of the epidermis, which cause the characteristic skin lesions of acne.
Its gentle exfoliating action makes it excellent for treating and lightening blemish marks and achieving a brighter and more even skin tone.
Shikimic Acid
Shikimic acid is extracted from star anise and is ideal for addressing skin imperfections.
