A concentrated, certified organic face serum formulated with Salicylic Acid, a molecule with exfoliating properties particularly useful for acne-prone or impure skin. Salicylic Acid penetrates the pores, reducing occlusion caused by excess sebum and dead skin cells, thereby limiting the formation of new imperfections and blackheads. This serum also helps maintain the balance of the skin's microbiome, essential for preserving skin health and preventing imbalances that can lead to imperfections and inflammation.

How to use it

1) Pure: Using the dropper, apply 3 or 4 drops of the product to your face. Massage until fully absorbed, then continue with your skincare routine.

2) As a booster: Add 1 or 2 drops of the product to your favourite face cream or serum. This will make the cream's texture much lighter to the touch and easier to absorb, while enhancing its effectiveness!

Salicylic Acid is found naturally in the bark of the willow tree (from which it gets its name) and in certain plants, such as Wintergreen (Gaultheria procumbens).

Today, this ingredient is known as a molecule belonging to the family of beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs), a type of exfoliating acid that is lipid-soluble (fat-soluble), allowing it to penetrate the pores and remove excess sebum and dead skin cells. Unlike alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), which mainly act on the surface, BHAs work deeper, making them particularly effective for combination, oily, and acne-prone skin.

What’s the difference between Salicylic Acid and Niacinamide + Zinc?

Both are lightweight face serums suitable for combination and sensitive skin. They are both sebum-regulating and purifying, and they target blemishes. Specifically:

Salicylic Acid also has an exfoliating effect, helps maintain the balance of the skin microbiota, and has proven particularly effective for acne and impure skin.
Niacinamide is also primarily sebum-regulating, but it also works on post-blemish redness and is excellent for evening out the skin tone, with visible results even on post-acne scars.

There’s no issue in using both—even morning and evening—for a complete anti-blemish and sebum-regulating routine.

Can your Salicylic Acid be used in the morning and during summer?

Yes, our Salicylic Acid can be used in the summer, both morning and evening. Like all our Pure Actives, it is not photosensitizing.

However, we do recommend applying a face cream with SPF during summer.
