Summer is approaching, and your skin isn't ready yet? Here are some tips for making your own natural facial scrub at home! Exfoliating scrub is a product that should never be missing from our beauty routines. Whether for the body or the face, it's a product that, when used regularly, helps remove dead cells, promotes cell renewal, and gives the skin tone and vitality. Exfoliation removes dead cells, stimulates the lymphatic system, and aids in the elimination of toxins, improving the facial microcirculation. The result is smoother, translucent, and radiant skin, a healthier and more radiant appearance. Making your own scrub is very simple (and cost-effective!), and it reduces the risk of unpleasant allergic reactions, often triggered by synthetic ingredients or overly intense and aggressive fragrances in commercial products. It's important that the scrub is as gentle as possible to avoid irritating delicate facial skin. Let's look at three simple recipes suitable for various skin types to make our own scrub at home.

Preparation

Chamomile Face Scrub:

Gradually emulsify some chamomile hydrosol with oat flour until the mixture has a creamy consistency.

Shea Butter Face Scrub:

Combine sugar and moisturizing cream in a container until you have a homogeneous mixture. Then, drizzle a bit of olive oil or coconut oil and mix again. Finally, incorporate a small amount of shea butter (previously melted) and mix until you have a creamy consistency.

Astringent Face Scrub:

In a bowl, work one tablespoon of kaolin powder and two tablespoons of rice flour or ground rice. Add one tablespoon of liquid honey and one tablespoon of orange blossom hydrosol to the kaolin and rice powder, then mix well. Finally, add a drop of tea tree essential oil and a drop of cypress essential oil.

How to use

Chamomile Face Scrub:

Gently massage the mixture onto your face and neck, which should be clean and dry, for about 3 minutes. Then, rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. This scrub is suitable for sensitive skin and has a calming and soothing effect, especially for redness-prone skin.

Shea Butter Face Scrub:

Apply the scrub to a clean and dry face, avoiding the eye area, and massage it in circular motions. Leave it on for 3 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water. This scrub is suitable for skin prone to dryness.

Astringent Face Scrub:

Take a small amount of the mixture and dilute it with a few drops of water in the palm of your hand. The warmth of your skin will help all the ingredients blend well. Massage it onto your face in circular motions for about 3 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water. This scrub is suitable for all skin types but especially beneficial for those with slightly impure skin.
