Beta-Caryophyllene (BCP)

What is it?

Beta-Caryophyllene is a natural sesquiterpene found in many aromatic plants such as black pepper (Piper nigrum), clove (Syzygium aromaticum), hemp (Cannabis sativa), lavender, and rosemary. It has a warm, spicy, woody scent and is well-known for its beneficial properties in both aromatherapy and skincare.

Unlike other terpenes, BCP selectively binds to CB2 receptors in the endocannabinoid system, offering soothing and anti-inflammatory benefits without psychoactive effects.

Cosmetic Benefits

Soothing and anti-inflammatory: it helps reduce redness, itching, and irritation, making it ideal for sensitive, reactive, or atopic-prone skin.

Regenerating and balancing: it promotes skin repair and helps restore the natural skin barrier.

Antioxidant: protects the skin from oxidative stress caused by environmental factors like pollution and UV rays, preventing premature aging.

Aromatherapeutic: its warm, comforting aroma supports relaxation and well-being.
