The Officinal Phytocomplex consists of 7 medicinal plants with anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects. It is a formula that is often found in cosmetics thanks to its soothing and antioxidant properties, especially indicated in the case of sensitive skin, with eczema and dry skin. Its anti-inflammatory and anti-irritation power has been tested on skin affected by atopic dermatitis, against which it has shown important beneficial effects.

Atopic dermatitis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease characterized by dryness, itching and abnormal pigmentation caused by an alteration of the skin barrier and an excessive immune response; it affects children more often, but to a lesser extent also adults and precisely because it is defined as "a-topic" (from the Greek a-topos, i.e. devoid of place) it does not have a particular location on the skin. The Officinal Phytocomplex acts against the inflammatory response mediated by the immune system; from in vitro assays it has been demonstrated how it interacts with important promoters and cytokines mediators of the inflammatory response. For example, an important decrease in associated itching was recorded. It is most often found in cosmetic formulations such as soaps, detergents, lotions, gels, creams etc. for people with normal to sensitive skin. In soothing lotions it is inserted to enhance the calming effect, for skins that have a tendency to get irritated and reddened.
