Mint Arvensis, better known as Mint Campestre, is a perennial plant of the Lamiaceae family. It is widely spread in Europe, Asia and South America and occurs in the form of a bush that can reach 60 cm, mainly located in humid and submontane areas. It has dark green oval leaves, covered with hair and if rubbed they give off an intense characteristic odor.

In cosmetics it can be found in different forms, in particular we find the essential oil of Mint Arvensis (Mentha Arvensis Leaf Oil), rich is obtained from the leaves and is in Menthol, a characteristic similarity compared to the essential oil of the more widespread Peppermint, which gives a particularly pungent smell to the oil itself. It is mainly used as a balsamic and flavoring agent in oral hygiene products.

It is also appreciated in therapy for its antibacterial, toning and headache properties.

In aromatherapy it is used to affect mental fatigue and to promote concentration.
