Niacinamide is a derivative of Vitamin B3 (or niacin) or rather it is a form of Vitamin B3 that has a slightly different chemical formula from niacin. Niacinamide is a water-soluble substance that we integrate mainly through food which can prove to be a real cure-all if also used topically. It is an ideal active ingredient for mixed and impure skins but also for those that are stressed and subjected to pollution. In fact, niacinamide is able to protect and strengthen the skin barrier by stimulating the production of ceramides (essential components of the epidermal structure) and stimulating the differentiation of keranocytes, thus accelerating cell turnover. It is a very important active ingredient which is also a precursor of some fundamental coenzymes such as NAD which are involved in anti-oxidant processes. Niacinamide can boast extraordinary properties including the ability to:

- prevent the appearance of new imperfections
- make the skin less shiny
- make the skin texture more compact
- lighten acne spots and scars
- prevent photo-aging
- stimulate collagen production

Our niacinamide is extremely pure, this means that it contains a negligible percentage of nicotinic acid. This allows you to use it in high concentrations, as in the case of our Pure Active, and benefit from a shock action without being aggressive on the skin.
